MALAYSIA has a special place in China's scheme of
things. This goes back to the time of prime minister Tun Abdul Razak,
who recognised China at a time when other countries were more reluctant
to do so.
This relationship has flowered over the years. China today is a
leading global economy and a powerful strategic player on the global
stage and no less in Asean.
